Camp Fire has actively engaged youth and teens in building essential skills for life for more than 100 years. We're proud of our heritage of cultivating community building, supporting academic readiness, and embracing diversity. Camp Fire was founded in 1910 to guide young people on their journey to self-discovery. In 2012, Camp Fire became the first national youth development organization in the United States to implement the methodology for thriving developed by the Thrive Foundation for Youth (www.thrivefoundation.org).
Organized by local citizens in 1964, as part of the War on Poverty, Lower Columbia CAP has over 30 programs that help people free themselves from poverty and build better lives for themselves and their families. Working together to build healthy communities by eliminating poverty and improving people's lives.
Career Education Options (CEO) The Career Education Options program offers out-of-school individuals aged 16 - 21, without a high school diploma, the chance to return to school for the education and job training needed for a successful career. CEO provides tuition, books, tutoring and one-on-one help with clarifying educational and career goals.
Career Pathways (formerly Tech Prep)
A program that lets high school students begin a professional-technical degree or certificate program while still in high school!
