The Arc of Cowlitz County empowers families and individuals with disabilities to achieve personal growth, develop their natural gifts, provide innovated services and opportunities tailored to the changing needs of each individual and family. We provide awareness of developmental and intellectual disabilities through education, community outreach and partnerships focusing on full integration in our community.

Children's Justice and Advocacy Center (CJAC)

Children's Justice and Advocacy Center uses a team approach for responding to child abuse allegations. The child's safety, health and wellbeing are of the utmost importance. The CJAC mission is to provide children who have experienced sexual or physical abuse a coordinated community approach to investigation, prosecution and treatment that promotes their safety, healing and well being.

Cowlitz County Chaplaincy

The Cowlitz Chaplaincy is committed to: Providing support services to Police/Fire/EMS personnel and their families; Crisis intervention support to the community in times of need; Relational, emotional and spiritual support to anyone (regardless of faith base) upon request. Chaplains serve free of charge by invitation in three specific areas: emotional, relational, and spiritual. Chaplains are not police officers/firefighters, they serve as CARE givers.

Our mission is to strengthen families by promoting self sufficiency, life long learning and healthy living free of substance abuse, child abuse and family violence. We provide Legal advocacy for victims of domestic violence including information, assistance with completing and filing protection orders or restraining orders, and accompaniment to court proceedings. Referrals made to legal services when legal counsel is needed. Medical and sexual assault advocates.
