About Us

Linking Cowlitz County is a online collaboration of the Longview Anti-Drug Coalition (LADC) and Cowlitz Community Network. The goal of the Community Resource Directory is to provide to organizations, groups and community members a summary of the many resources available in Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties to help people succeed. Initial work had been done by the LADC, Kelso STOP Coalition, and the Castle Rock C.A.R.E. Coalition. federal Drug-Free Community grant recipients funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Follow on work to update, expand and enhance the Community Resource Directory was funded by the Kaiser Community Fund of the Northwest Health Foundation. 

Longview Anti-Drug Coalition (LADC) is a community based-organization whose mission is to reduce substance abuse among youth and over time, among adults. Our coalition is community focused knowing that change must come from the community level. Comprised of 12 community representatives from local schools, faith-based, law enforcement, business community, health care professionals, local government, media, parents, youth, youth serving organizations and civic groups. 

 

Cowlitz Community Network

The Cowlitz Community Network is a community organization with the mission of bringing the community together and creating opportunities to help at-risk youth and families succeed. The Network Board is comprised of a diverse group of individuals who work with organizations or groups that serve at-risk populations. Their goal is to create a healthier Cowlitz County.
