Specializing in providing counseling for: Challenging Children/School Issues; Parenting Skills; ADD/ADHD; Victims of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD); Transition or Adjustment Problems (loss, divorce, break-ups, blending families, etc.); Grandparents Raising Grandchildren; Individual, Family, Couple, Teen and Child Therapist; Anger Management Treatment and Evaluations; Power and Control Issues;  Combat Veterans. Ages treated 4 to 104. Insurance accepted, including Medicaid.


Counseling Services & Associates Sexual Assault Prevention and Treatment Program

Counseling Services and Associates, in coordination with the Emergency Support Shelter, has been awarded grant funding to provide services that focus on prevention and treatment for sexual assault to residents of Cowlitz County. The following services are offered: Brief Individual and Family Therapy for Adults and Children, Support Groups; Group Therapy for Adults, Adolescents and Children.

Free and Confidential Services Provided:

 Protection order assistance for victims of domestic violence

 Assistance with Sexual Assault Protection orders

 Assistance with Anti-Harassment orders

 Assistance gathering information for dissolutions and parenting plans

 Court accompaniment

Call for appointment. Must be a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or other crime to qualify for services.


Ethnic Support Council

The Ethnic Support Council is a small, non-profit agency that helps immigrants and people with limited English skills as well as businesses, social service agencies, governmental entities and other organizations that serve these populations.

The Ethnic Support Council, which receives United Way funding, offers help by providing language translation and interpreting services as well as information and referral. Spanish is the most frequently requested language, but the office also gets calls for Cambodian, Russian, Vietnamese and other less common languages


Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Cowlitz County

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. Cowlitz County CASA is a 501(3)(c) non-profit corporation tasked with being the voice of abused and neglected children in the dependency court system. Every dependent child in Cowlitz County is assigned a CASA through our program. No child is turned away! The process focuses on the best interests of the child. A CASA is a trained volunteer who represents the best interests of children as they are taken through the legal process.

Our services include: Individual, Couple and Family Therapy serving Children, Adolescents and Adults; The 4-hour Parenting Through Divorce Class required for parents divorcing or in transition; The Sexual Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program in coordination with the Emergency Support Shelter
