After School Programs - Longview Parks & Recreation Department

Activities held at Longview and elementary schools. Stations of activities include: homework, reading, games, crafts, sports and occasional guest speakers. Scholarship and reduced payment programs available to qualifying families. After School Program until 5:30 PM at Kessler and St. Helens, and 5:45 at Columbia Valley Gardens Elementary. Before /After School Programs from 7:00 to 8:45 AM and 3:30 to 6:00 PM at Robert Gray. Community Services Office (CSO) -Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS)

Services Provided: Services available to families and individuals, including cash, medical, food, child care and social services. The CSO administers state and federal public welfare programs. These include medical programs for aged, blind and disabled individuals, children and pregnant women. We also administer medical programs that assist Medicare recipients with their co-pays and deductibles and with drug and alcohol treatment. There are other medical assistance programs available so we encourage anyone to apply who may be in need of medical assistance.


Child Care Action Council - Child Care Licensed Family Homes and Centers

Child Care Action Council supports caregivers, parents and communities in creating quality early learning opportunities for young children. We serve over 34,000 families and 950 providers in six counties. Since opening our doors in 1987, the CCAC has excelled at its mission to promote and nurture early learning communities where families and children thrive through multiple programs and services that all benefit young children.


Lower Columbia College Early Learning Center (ELC)

Our childcare center provides state licensed childcare for children ages 1 month through kindergarten entry. We are open to all members of the community. Home and Family Life (HOFL) is a participant of the Washington State Early Achievers quality rating and improvement system. Our teachers are trained in the Early Childhood Education field.
